My cousin breeds hens 
I'm coming to terms with my new camera. It's more difficult than I thought. After taking photos for more than 12 years, I found out that I don't know what aperture really does, what depth of field means and so on - f2.8 and f8 were only a little difference on my old Olympus SP-500 (not mentioning the even older Kodak film compact I started with) and the only times I created shallower depth of field was macro. Now I have lots to learn and read about!
Hens are great for beginners. They move only a little and not really quickly but can create lots of different poses.
